The Joy of Hope
The yoy of hope: how it shapes our lives and elevates the human spirit. No matter how good or bad it may be. The present state is not enough for the occupation of the human heart. The present things of joy and hope, love and friendship, are not enough to permanently occupy the powers of the human heart. Therefore, that great craftsman, who made the human body with his own hands and in his likeness, has given it a few more powers, due to which there is never a lack of work for the heart, and the material for keeping the heart busy is always provided and available. Using these powers, past things come back to the heart and future things are thought of before they happen.
Hope the Strange Power
That strange power that we remember always looks back. When we do not get any present thing for occupation, that power calls up past things and keeps our heart entertained with the mention or thought of it. An example of this is the ruminant animals, which first eat all the grains of grass, and when they are done, they sit in a corner, take it out of their stomachs, and chew it.
Hope in Future and Past
Just as memory brings past events to our mind in our free time, another force engages the mind in the thought of future events. Its name is hope and fear or fear and hope. With these two types of thoughts, we reach the future and consider the things that will probably happen in the distant past and are hidden in the veils of darkness and lying in deep pits as if they are happening now. We begin to experience their joy or sorrow before they happen. We even think of that time when there will be no earth or sky, and the voice of “To Him belongs the kingdom this day” will be heard from all four directions. Who can say then that human life is limited to the present time only?
My Intention About Hope
My intention in this writing is to describe only something about hope. Our joys are so few and fleeting that if we did not have the power to enjoy those good and heart-warming things before they happen, which is possible. Our lives would be evil and unpleasant. A poet says, “We should hope to achieve all good things because there is nothing that cannot be hoped for and nothing that God cannot give us.”

Hope In Persian Quotes
There is a famous saying in Persian that “Tamna ra aibe naist.” A nobleman said that I do not grieve for anything in the world because hope always makes me happy. Friends asked, “Do you not grieve for death?” He said, “Is it any wonder that I never die because God is also able to create a person who does not die, and I hope that perhaps that person is me.” This saying is a kind of humour. But the truth is that the hope of life removes the grief of death from us. If we had no hope for life, no one would be in a worse condition than us. Life is like an inanimate object that has no movement. Hope creates movement in it. Because of hope, a person becomes serious, patient and cheerful.
Soul of Person’s Soul
It is as if hope is the soul of a person’s soul. Hope always keeps the soul happy and eases all suffering. It makes one eager to work and ready to do arduous tasks. There is another benefit of hope, which is no less than that we do not value present pleasures very much and do not get absorbed in them. When Caesar distributed all his wealth to his friends, people asked him what he had kept for himself. He said, “Hope.” His noble nature did not value the things he had, but he always thought of something better.
Hope Gift from God
People of the past considered life without hope to be very bad. It is said that God sent a box to man. When it was opened, all kinds of calamities, troubles, and diseases that a person experiences came out of it. Hope was also locked up in the same box so that it could comfort a person in times of trouble. So, there is no happier life than a life in which there is hope. Especially when the hope is for something good based on reasonable grounds and for something that can make the person who hopes happy. The truth is well known to those who understand that even the happiest person does not have enough happiness in the present age.

Religious Life and Hope
In religious life, there are many hopes for good and excellent things that can make us completely happy. Hopes for spiritual things are much stronger than worldly things because, in addition to reason, they also contain a great deal of religious belief. The thought of such hopes makes us completely happy. Without a doubt, the effect of hope makes a person’s life very sweet. If he is unhappy with his present state, patience will surely come to him, but religious hopes are even more beneficial.
Religious hope, as it were, revives the dead and gives his heart the utmost joy. Man is happy in his sufferings. The soul leaps to grab the evil that is always in its sight. Finally leaves this mortal body in the joy of the hope that it will be reunited with it on the Day of Judgment.

Final Thoughts
Hazrat David (peace be upon him) sang this song in his prayer to God during his time of great distress and pain… I have set God always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be afraid. My heart rejoices; my flesh also rests in the hope that you will not cast my soul into hell. You will not see yours see corruption. You will show me the way of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Amen.
